Composites Mass Manufacturing Process (CMMP)

House of Composites ApS has developed and is patenting a new manufacturing process for carbon fibre components directed towards the mass manufactured road cars.

Carbon/epoxy, optical microscopy
Glass/polyester, electron microscopy
  The process separates itself from the known manufacturing processes such as RTM, HP-RTM and Pressed Prepregs, it has an unseen simplicity which makes it both robust and fast. Trials made so far in a manual set-up show the potential to reach a cycle time of around 5 minutes per part when automated – The manual cycle time is below 15 minutes which already is impressive.

The process supply a pin hole free surface, an extremely high laminate quality with a void content level of 0,2-0,3% together with a very high fibre volume content of approximately 60%. So a process going beyond what is achievable in Formula 1 at a quality level far better than the aerospace acceptance criteria of 2% in void content.

HOC sports car supplier appointment

HOC has been appointed to be supplying all composite material components for a new road going sports car.

The car concept is a high power to weight ratio. So low weight is essential, which is why HOC has been chosen to supply all composite material parts such as a full carbon fibre body work.

HOC expansion

HOC has double its floor size by establishing a new manufacturing site.

The new site also include storage, office and meeting rooms, but the main purpose is to increase the production area to make space for the increasing demand for high quality composite material solutions.

Hypercar carbon fibre parts

It is with proud that HOC has been selected to supply all carbon fibre parts for a Hypercar (also called Super Sports Car). Due to confidentiality agreements the name can’t be published.
